Sea turtle season is in full swing on Jekyll Island, and if you're walking the beach, there's a good chance you'll see one.

Here's the golden rule: if it's not obviously hurt or in immediate danger, leave it alone. Baby turtles are more capable than they look, and human help usually does more harm than good.

That said, we're lucky to have the Georgia Sea Turtle Center right on the island (Georgia's only sea turtle rehab facility). They handle real rescues, rehab injured turtles, and release them back into the ocean.
