🚨 FREE PARKING AT THE GREAT PARK IS ABOUT TO CHANGE! 🚗💸

Imagine taking your kids to a weekend soccer game, basketball tournament, or sporting event at the Orange County Great Park… and having to pay just to park your car.

Well, that could soon become a reality for many visitors.

The City of Irvine has approved a paid parking program, with implementation expected in early 2027.

💰 Here’s the proposed pricing:
🚗 Weekday evenings: $2–$3/hour
🚗 Weekends: $3–$4/hour
⚽ Sports tournaments: $4–$5/hour
🎤 Special events: Up to $40

🏡 Irvine residents will have access to parking exemptions through a permit program, but what about everyone else in Orange County?

Here’s where the conversation gets interesting. 👀

The Great Park was designed as a regional destination, attracting families from Irvine, Tustin, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and beyond.

The city needs revenue to help maintain and operate the park. But should families attending youth sporting events have to contribute through parking fees?

And if paid parking is introduced here, could we eventually see similar programs at other public parks?

👇 I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Would you support paid parking if the money went toward maintaining and improving the Great Park?

Or do you believe parking at public parks should always be free?

Let’s hear both sides! 👇

In my happy place 😁

I didn’t have my best going into today. Stretched and loosened up my right Achilles the best I could this morning. The first few miles were a bit shaken but got my footing a few miles in. I felt great till about the half way mark and after that, it was just about having the best time till the end. Hobbled my way to the finish line but had a blast along the way. Great energy and crowd support was amazing.

Thank you Chicago Marathon!

🚗⚡ Is Irvine the Tesla Capital of the World?

If you’ve ever driven through Irvine, you know the joke. Every other car seems to be a Tesla, and somehow, they’re all white. 😂

But there’s actually data behind Irvine’s Tesla obsession!

A recent analysis of California DMV registration data found that Irvine has more registered Teslas than any other city in Orange County.

And during the first half of 2025, Tesla accounted for over 50% of all new fully electric vehicle registrations across Orange County.

So what’s driving the trend? A combination of higher household incomes, convenient home charging, extensive EV infrastructure, and something I like to call the neighborhood effect.

When your neighbors, coworkers, and everyone in the school pickup line drive a Tesla, it almost becomes part of the Irvine lifestyle.

Of course, having the most Teslas in Orange County doesn’t officially make Irvine the Tesla capital of the world, but its reputation isn’t completely made up either!

Now I have two questions for Irvine residents:

🚘 Do you drive a Tesla?

😂 And if you do, is it white?

👇 Drop your answer in the comments. I’m curious how many Tesla owners we have here!

One day, my legs won’t carry me the way they do today. Getting out of bed will become a challenge. My bones will ache, my body will slow down, and the things I once took for granted will no longer come easily.

But today is not that day.

I may not be at 100%. I may have aches, pains, and doubts. But I can still move. I can still run. I can still experience something that one day I may only be able to look back on.

So today, I choose gratitude over frustration. I choose courage over fear. And I choose to embrace every mile, every challenge, and every moment.

Because one day, I’ll wish I could do what I can do today.

After shutting down all 97 locations in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, this iconic all-you-can-eat restaurant is officially making a comeback!

After reopening under the Sweet Tomatoes name in Arizona and Florida, the brand is finally making its way back to California!
