Worried about True Food Kitchen closing? πŸ₯—

Good news for Orange County! While the restaurant chain recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the Newport Beach Fashion Island location is officially staying open. You can still enjoy your favorite healthy eats in one of the most in-demand spots in the OC.

Still waiting for the real estate market to "crash"? Let's look at what that wait is costing you in San Clemente. πŸ“‰πŸ’Έ

In 2016, you could pick up a detached single-family home in San Clemente for roughly $975,000. Back then, many buyers hesitated, convinced that prices were too high and a massive housing bubble was about to burst.

Fast forward to 2025: that exact same house is now sitting at $1.7 Million.

That is $725,000 in lost equity just from sitting on the sidelines waiting for a drop that never arrived. You cannot time the market perfectly, but getting into the market and letting time do the heavy lifting is how true wealth is built. Time in the market will always beat *timing* the market.

πŸ‘‡ Are you still waiting on the sidelines, or are you ready to start building equity? Let me know in the comments, or send me a DM to explore your options!

Dana Point is getting a massive luxury transformation! 🌊🏨

The iconic Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa, which has operated overlooking Dana Point Harbor for nearly 40 years, is officially going full luxury. The property is undergoing a multi-million dollar, property-wide renovation and will reopen as the Ocean Cliffs at Dana Point, a JW Marriott Resort. What is changing? Completely refreshed guest rooms. A new central resort pool with expanded lounge space and food/drink service. A brand new chef-led signature restaurant.

A new 6,000-square-foot ballroom. A larger, completely redesigned arrival area. The renovation is scheduled to wrap up in 2027, perfectly timed to align with the massive $600 million revitalization of Dana Point Harbor. Luxury hospitality brands do not pick locations by accident with a new harbor and a JW Marriott finishing at the same time, this entire stretch of Dana Point is getting an incredible new level of polish.

πŸ‘‡ What is the ONE thing you think Dana Point needs once the harbor is finished? (Or are you someone who preferred the harbor exactly the way it used to be?) Let's debate in the comments!

So, here is the ultimate real estate question: Would you rather rent a brand-new, modern apartment in Irvine, or own an older single-family house in Orange County? Let me know your pick in the comments!

Why is outside money parking millions in Costa Mesa real estate? πŸ’πŸ’Έ

A massive, all-cash deal just closed in Costa Mesa, and it tells a very interesting story about how investors view the Orange County market.

A private out-of-town investor just dropped $9.4 million on the 24-unit apartment complex at 291 Avocado Street.

The Property Specs:Built in 1965, featuring two 12-unit buildings.

Do you think this was a smart long-term buy, or did they overpay to execute their 1031 exchange? Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Is your local Starbucks suddenly closed? β˜•πŸšͺ

Starbucks recently announced that it is closing about 250 locations across North America (roughly 1% of its stores). While the company hasn't officially released a list of closures, their online store locator stopped showing hours for the following six Orange County locations after Saturday, September 26th:

πŸ“ Aliso Viejo (La Paz Road)
πŸ“ Cypress (Meridian Drive)
πŸ“ Laguna Woods (Moulton Parkway)
πŸ“ Rancho Santa Margarita (Oso Parkway)
πŸ“ Santa Ana (North Main Street)
πŸ“ Tustin (Edinger Avenue)

The Starbucks COO stated that these closures are aimed at stores where the company cannot consistently deliver the desired customer experience or does not see a path to acceptable financial performance. However, they noted they are still building a pipeline for new coffee houses moving forward.

πŸ‘‡ Was one of these OC locations your daily stop? Let me know in the comments, and tag someone who might be wondering why their coffee run just got interrupted!

Anaheim just landed the first-ever to-go concept from one of Japan's biggest restaurant brands! 🍜🍒

Out of every city in America, Torikizoku chose downtown Anaheim for their newest concept. Founded in 1985 and boasting over 600 locations across Japan, the brand made its US debut with a sit-down restaurant in Torrance in 2025. Now, they are bringing their fast-casual, order-and-go format to 185 West Center Street Promenade. Menu highlights include:Signature Kizoku Yaki chicken skewers. Japanese-style teriyaki chicken bowls (starting under $10!).

Chicken-based ramen developed by Chef Maruyama, whose restaurant earned Michelin Bib Gourmand recognition. Refreshing drinks like matcha milk boba, yuzu soda, and melon cream soda. Center Street Promenade continues to quietly evolve into one of North Orange County's absolute best food blocks. Doors officially open Friday, October 2nd!

πŸ‘‡ So, what are you ordering first: the signature skewers or the Michelin-level ramen? Let me know in the comments!
