Halloween is one of my favorite times of year in Idyllwild. Swipe through for a look at some of my favorite costumes from Halloweens past - Ghostbusters, Smokey Bear, the whole Goonies crew, and plenty of witches along the way.

We don’t really do traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating up here. Instead, the whole town gathers at the top of North Circle in their Halloween best, and I mean elaborate, fantastical, how-did-they-make-that costumes. Kids and adults parade down our main street together, trick-or-treating from business to business all the way to the end of town center.
That’s where the carnival is waiting. Grab a hot cocoa, get a bite at one of our great local restaurants, and soak it all in with what feels like everyone you know.

It’s one of those nights that reminds me why I love this little mountain town so much. Happy Halloween from Idyllwild! 👻🎃💀
