❤️ Another Great Memory at The Mace Place! ❤️

Long before The Mace Place became a place for guests to stay, it was a home filled with family, friendship, and special memories.

Back in 1984, Aunt Eunice hosted a baby shower at The Mace Place so the ladies of Brays Advent Christian Church could meet baby Levi shortly after he was born. 🍼💙

This precious photo captures four generations together — Jackie Luttrell, Linda Fritchey holding baby Levi Luttrell, and Lucille McKee. What a special moment in time!

It’s heartwarming to look back and remember all the love, laughter, and gatherings that took place within these walls. Aunt Eunice had a way of bringing people together, and those memories are still part of what makes The Mace Place so special today.

Some places are more than just a house. They are where family gathers, friendships grow, and memories last for generations. ❤️

44 years of marriage, and he still finds ways to surprise me!

On October 2nd, Benny and I celebrated 44 years together. And this little project is a perfect example of life with Benny!

When we renovated the Mace Place, we salvaged some of the old boards that had been on the walls of this family home for many years. Honestly, I was ready to burn them!

But Benny had a different idea. He saw pumpkins!

So, those old boards that once helped make the Mace Place a home have been given a whole new life as our MACE PLACE pumpkin fence!

That's Benny. He has a knack for seeing potential in things others might throw away, and he always seems to have an idea for what something could become.

After 44 years, I guess I've learned that before I throw something on the burn pile, I might want to check with him first!

There were only a few differences of opinion during this project. After all, 44 years of marriage teaches you a thing or two about compromise!

I love that we're still dreaming, creating, repurposing, and making memories together. And I love that a little piece of this old house's history gets to welcome people to the Mace Place.

Happy 44th anniversary to us! Here's to many more years of his ideas, my occasional eye rolls, and the life we're still building together.

There’s just something special about this time of year — cooler days, cozy evenings, and a house full of memories waiting to be made.

In the early 1960s, four generations of family—McKee, Mace, Sumner, and Fritchey—gathered at The Mace Place to celebrate the 4th of July.

I’m the little girl in this video. Today, I’m honored to own this special place and to continue making space for memories—now for new families and future generations.

Good food, time together, and traditions passed down through the years. And I’m sure the day ended the best way possible—homemade ice cream and a competitive game of croquet. ❤️🤍💙

We’re excited to be included in the Look & Book Open House at The Barn at Honeysuckle Farms this week. 💍

The Mace Place is just one mile from the Barn, and I’ll be at the house for anyone who would like to stop by, take a look, or visit about wedding weekend accommodations.
