For Kyle Holland, CEO of AGC Houston, this November will mark his eighth Sleep Out with Covenant House Texas.

Kyle was first encouraged to participate by his father, who has been part of Sleep Out since the very beginning.

Eight years later, Kyle keeps coming back because he believes in the unique mission of Covenant House Texas: reaching young people before temporary hardship becomes chronic homelessness and surrounding them with the support they need to move forward.

“Every young person deserves an opportunity for a better future.”

Sleep Out gives Houston executives and community leaders a chance to come together, raise awareness, and experience a small measure of discomfort while standing in solidarity with young people facing homelessness.

Join Kyle this November and help spread the word, raise critical funds, and support the life-changing work Covenant House Texas is doing for Houston’s young people.

For Andrew Miu of Cisco Systems, Sleep Out started with something practical: fixing spotty Wi-Fi.

But as Andrew got involved, he began thinking about what unreliable internet access can mean for a young person trying to do homework, search for a job, or stay connected with friends and family.

That experience changed the way he saw the mission.

“At Cisco, we believe in not just connecting people to the internet, but connecting people to opportunities, to other people who care, and to a better outcome in life.”

This November will mark Andrew’s eighth Sleep Out, and he continues to return because Covenant House Texas is helping young people make those same kinds of connections every day.

Join Andrew and other Houston business leaders for Sleep Out: Executive Edition and use your leadership to help create stronger connections, greater opportunity, and better outcomes for young people facing homelessness.

Dr. Hergenroeder has served as Medical Director since 1987 and has participated in 14 of the past 15 Sleep Outs. Over the years, he has seen firsthand how young people come to Covenant House Texas needing far more than a place to stay—they need medical care, support, structure, resources, and people committed to helping them move forward.

“This is a program that is saving lives and changing people’s trajectories in life.”

Providing that level of care takes people, resources, and sustained support. Join Dr. Hergenroeder and Houston’s business leaders this November and help make it possible for Covenant House Texas to continue providing the wraparound services young people need to build healthier, more stable futures.

For Mark Davis, Covenant House Texas Board Member and executive at Davis Commercial Real Estate, Sleep Out is a reminder of how quickly life can change.

Mark has participated in Sleep Out for about 10 years because he knows that, with a different turn of circumstances, any of us could face the same uncertainty some young people experience.

“If it weren’t for the cosmic roll of the dice, I easily could be sleeping out on the sidewalk at times, just like some of our youth do.”

For Mark, Sleep Out is a way to give back to young people who are resilient, capable, and deserving of the love, support, and resources they need to move forward.

Join Mark and Houston’s business leaders this November. Give one night, step outside your comfort zone, and help young people at Covenant House Texas build toward a safer, stronger future.

This November, we mark 15 years of Sleep Out. That's 15 years of leaders choosing one uncomfortable night to help create safer futures for young people facing homelessness.

This year, Houston Astros pitcher Josh Hader, Honorary Chair of Covenant House Texas’ Sleep Out: Executive Edition, is joining Houston business leaders for a night of purpose, connection, and impact.

By giving up your bed for one night, you can help raise critical funds that provide young people with safe shelter, supportive services, and opportunities to build a path toward independence.

Houston executives: will you join Josh Hader and step up for young people who need us?

For Paolo Berard, Chief Compliance Officer and Assistant General Counsel at NRG, Sleep Out has become a night he returns to year after year. This November will mark his eighth Sleep Out with Covenant House Texas.

Each year, Paolo says he learns something new about the services Covenant House Texas provides—and, most importantly, hears directly from young people about their journeys, the challenges they’ve faced, and how support helped them move forward.

“This is a night that can really change your life.”

This year, Sleep Out: Executive Edition is working toward an ambitious goal of raising more than $1 million in one night.

Join Paolo and Houston’s business leaders for an experience that can change your perspective while helping change what’s possible for young people facing homelessness.

For Dionne Kubin of Dionne Kubin, Realtor - Jane Byrd Properties International, LLC, Sleep Out is deeply personal. This November will mark her eighth year participating in Covenant House Texas’ Sleep Out: Executive Edition.

As a single mom who once lived paycheck to paycheck, Dionne knows how close anyone can come to housing instability. There were times when she didn’t have a place of her own—but she had family who stepped in to help. She knows not everyone has that support.

“Homelessness can happen to anyone.”

That’s why Dionne continues to Sleep Out. She believes young people deserve more than a place to sleep—they deserve hope, opportunity, and someone who believes in them.

Join Dionne and Houston’s business leaders for one powerful night of solidarity, purpose, and action for young people facing homelessness.

For Mike Holland, Sleep Out isn’t a one-time event. This November will mark his 15th Sleep Out.

As Board Chair of Covenant House Texas and Chief Operating Officer at MAREK Companies, Mike has returned year after year because the mission still hits home: imagining young people facing homelessness, hunger, fear, trauma, and abuse—and knowing we can do something about it.

“Every year I’ve experienced exactly the same feeling. And I will experience that until we eradicate youth homelessness.”

Now Mike is challenging Houston’s business leaders to join him for a powerful night of purpose and connection.

If you’re an executive, business owner, or community leader, step outside your comfort zone and experience Sleep Out for yourself.

It’s one night you won’t forget—and your participation can help change what comes next for a young person.
