Co-founded in 1991 in Houston, Texas by Mel Payne, Mel has since led Carriage as our only Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. First responders do so much for our communities. Our Faith Chapel Funeral Home team made sure a little appreciation came their way.

The team welcomed members of the Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department, and EMS for an appreciation cookout, preparing lunch as a small thank-you for their dedication and service. It was an opportunity to share a meal and recognize the people our communities count on every day.

The 2026 Carriage Fall Into Fitness Wellness Challenge kicked off yesterday, giving all Carriage team members the opportunity to compete individually and in teams while building healthier habits, from daily steps and healthy activities to lifestyle choices that support overall well-being.
