Renting a home in Houston? Here’s what you need to know before you apply. 💗

A rental application is more than filling in your name and paying a fee. Before we apply, I want us to understand the full picture:

✔️ Know your credit—and understand what may be affecting it
✔️ Discuss any credit, rental history, eviction, or background concerns
✔️ Have your income documents ready, whether you’re a W-2 employee or self-employed
✔️ Gather your photo ID and information for your last 2–3 addresses
✔️ Check the home’s income, credit, rental history, background, pet, deposit, and move-in requirements
✔️ Tour the home so you can see its current condition before signing a lease
✔️ Complete the application carefully and have all required adult occupants apply
✔️ Pay close attention to every deadline and instruction once approved

Rental criteria and documentation requirements vary by landlord and property manager. Preparing ahead of time helps us make smarter decisions, avoids spending money applying blindly, and move quickly when we find the right home.

Hiiiii! I’ve spent the last couple of years doing something pretty important… raising my babies. ❤️

And now I’m back in real estate full-time. 🏡

Five years ago, I started my real estate career while becoming a mom for the first time, planning a wedding… and then replanning that wedding thanks to COVID. 😅 Somewhere in those five years, we purchased our 1st home together, moved, welcomed another baby, walked through some really hard personal losses, and I learned a whole lot about balancing motherhood, family, life, and a career.

Now my oldest is in kindergarten, my youngest is in daycare, and for the first time, I’m able to really put my foot on the gas.

So here we go. ✨

I’m rebuilding, revamping, and stepping into a brand-new chapter of my real estate career, with a special focus on what I know best: helping Houston renters find the right place to call home.
