After attending another in Land Houston gathering last week, I’m reminded why I chose to become part of this organization, and why spaces like this matter, as punctuated in this clip from last month’s Lunch & Learn.
Women should absolutely have a seat at the table, but our roles and reach extend far beyond simply being invited into the room. We are acquiring the land, developing communities, and building the places where the table sits.
If you work in planning, engineering, architecture, real estate, construction, finance, law, economic development, community development, land development, or any industry that touches the built environment, join us.
There is room (and a need) for more of us at every stage of development, from the table where decisions are made to the field where those decisions take shape.

Huge shoutout to the Houston Chapter Co-Leaders Vanessa Cole and Christina Kelley for curating and cultivating a community where women can connect, collaborate, build, and impact.
