That's exactly what happened to me here on OΚ»ahu.
Now I'm dealing with torn-up flooring, missing bathroom cabinets, drywall repairs, insurance claims, and potentially thousands of dollars out of pocket.
And here's what every condo owner should know: Water damage claims can contribute to higher association insurance premiums, deductibles, and maintenance fees.
My message? If you're leaving your condo vacant, even for a few days, make sure you know how to safely turn off your water.
