One last day to enjoy all things Halloween and fall! 🍂🎃

Over the years, I've come to realize just how quickly the seasons pass. We spend so much time bringing out our seasonal decor, arranging everything just so, and creating that cozy feeling at home, only to find ourselves packing it all away before we've really had time to enjoy it.

And since I love Halloween so much, I've started decorating for fall and Halloween together around the middle of September. Here in Alaska when autumn is already in the air by then, it feels like the perfect time to welcome the season.

Come the beginning of November, though, the pumpkins and Halloween decorations get tucked away, and Christmas begins making its appearance!

I know not everyone loves decorating for Christmas quite so early, and I think everyone should do what feels right in their own home. But for me, there's something wonderful about bringing out the greenery, twinkling lights, and all that holiday warmth as we head into the darkest months of the year. I want to enjoy every bit of it through November and December.

So today, I'm soaking up the last of the fall colors, pumpkins, and Halloween touches around our home. I'm always a little sad to see this season go, but there's something equally lovely about looking forward to the next one.
