About Janita Rucker:
Janita Rucker is the Founder and Principal Broker of Rucker Realty, a premier boutique real estate agency in Hampton Roads. She is also a passionate workforce development advocate and a proud recipient of the 2026 Hope & Impact Award.
Bringing a powerhouse background in corporate compliance, financial operations, and contract negotiation, Janita has dedicated her practice to helping hundreds of families achieve stability, security, and generational wealth through property ownership.
Her real estate work centers on empowering first-time home buyers, easing transitions for military families navigating relocation, and assisting homeowners in selling their properties for maximum profit. Concurrently, Janita leads marketing and outreach for Tidewater Community College’s workforce solutions division, actively connecting community members to short-term skills training and life-changing employment opportunities.
Expanding her capacity for community impact and lifelong learning, Janita intentionally returned to college and is on the verge of completing her Associates Degree in Human Services at TCC.
Whether advocating for accessible housing, facilitating workforce advancement, or raising her two spirited daughters, Janita remains dedicated to uplifting individuals and strengthening community resilience.
