🥤🍦 FLOAT TAKING SHAPE IN MIDTOWN GREENSBORO
ITS OPEN NOW.
A former car wash on Battleground Avenue is getting a sweet new purpose!
Float Dirty Soda and Ice Cream is planned for 📍1013 Battleground Ave., part of the former Ready Auto and Ready Gas and Convenience property. Emily Baker and Chase Strange, owners of The Daily Grind in Burlington, are behind the new shop.
🥤 What’s a dirty soda? It’s a nonalcoholic drink made by adding flavored syrups, cream or fruit purees to a soda base.
According to a March 13 Triad Business Journal report, plans include:
🧊 Build-your-own sodas using Coca-Cola products, plus signature combinations inspired by Greensboro.
🍦 Classic soda fountain treats, including egg creams and ice cream floats.
💵 Dirty sodas priced from $4 to $8.
🪑 About 25 indoor seats, with patio seating bringing total capacity to about 50.
🍽️ A separate restaurant, Battleground Butcher Bar, is planned for the property’s larger building.
🚧 The colorful exterior is taking shape. The owners previously anticipated a fall opening, but a current opening date has not been confirmed. Menu prices and seating figures reflect the plans reported in March.
