It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Carlo Cazares.

Carlo began his career at The Woods in 1997, before the Farthing family purchased the property in 2001. He continued with our group of companies and celebrated 25 years of service with us this summer.

Throughout his career, Carlo held several roles, beginning as a Maintenance Technician at The Woods and later being promoted to Assistant Maintenance Supervisor.

In 2013, when we purchased Sandstone Ridge, Carlo took on the role of Maintenance Supervisor, where he made a lasting impact on both the residents and his teammates. He later moved back to Tucson and continued his career as Assistant Maintenance Supervisor at Lantana Apartments and was an important part of the team there.

Carlo was a hardworking, loyal employee with an exceptional work ethic and a quiet, steady leadership style. Although he was a private person who kept his health challenges to himself, his team knew he faced them with quiet bravery and continued to fight for as long as he could. During his final months, he remained happy, engaged with his teammates, and dedicated to his work.

Carlo will be missed immensely. His family can take comfort in knowing how much his long-standing commitment to our ownership, properties, residents, and teammates meant to all of us. We are grateful for the many years Carlo dedicated to our company and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Carlo’s family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time. He will always be remembered for his dedication, loyalty, and the impact he made on those around him.
