I'm not sure how we're already here, but my twin boys are SENIORS in high school, and I'm starting to realize just how little time we have left with them at home! So Megan and I decided that before they graduate, we're going to take each of them on a trip of their choice and spend some one-on-one time together.

Sean chose a long weekend in Austin to see one of his favorite bands perform at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. Now, a music festival isn't exactly Megan's or my idea of a weekend getaway, but we told him he could pick whatever he wanted, and we meant it! And I'll tell you what, it was an experience! We had a great time, and getting to do something Sean loves made it even better.

It's been pretty incredible watching this kid grow up and become the young man he is today. I'm so proud of him, and while I'm excited to see where life takes him, I'm definitely not in a hurry for him to leave the house just yet.

To all the parents with little kids, enjoy every bit of it. Everyone tells you how fast it goes, but you don't really understand until you're looking at your own kids getting ready to graduate.

I'm just glad we get to make a few more memories together before that happens.
