Moving day can be overwhelming, not just for people, but for pets too. With doors opening, boxes moving, and new faces around, pets can easily become anxious or try to escape.
To keep them safe and calm, set up a quiet, secure room with their bed, favorite toys, food, and water, away from the activity. This familiar space helps reduce stress while movers are working. You may also want to consider boarding your pet for the day or asking a trusted friend or family member to pet-sit until the move is complete.
A little planning helps ensure moving day is safe and comfortable for every member of the family, four-legged ones included.
