Our shared living Program number SIX is on the way! 🏡💚🎉
Opening December 1, 2026, in Gainesville, Florida.

Lately, more returning citizens and their families have been reaching out, trying to plan for life after release. Being able to create more space for those next chapters means so much to me. 🫂

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at us getting everything ready, from installing the downstairs vanity to cleaning furniture and planning spaces for future program members.

This program will offer semi-private beds, with each bedroom having its own bathroom. Furnishings, utilities, internet, laundry access, and everyday essentials are included in the program fee.

Sometimes you’re trying to rebuild your life while people are still judging you for the chapter you’re trying to move past. Finding somewhere to live, getting back to work, and figuring out your next step can feel overwhelming when every door seems to come with another “no.”

Working in corrections, I saw people preparing to go home. Through Safe Haven Rentals ™️ I get to help with what comes next. Having somewhere stable to sleep won’t solve everything, but it can give you room to breathe, make a plan, and start moving forward.

You don’t have to be a returning citizen to know what it feels like to start over, or to be eligible for our programs. Sometimes life changes, support falls through, or you find yourself rebuilding at an age when you thought you’d have it all figured out. Needing a fresh start doesn’t mean you’ve failed. 💚

🏡 The room shown at the end is available and can be arranged as a private or semi-private room. Our shared living programs include furnishings, utilities, Wi-Fi, and everyday household essentials.

The same Florida Department of Corrections I once worked for now lists MY BUSINESS, Safe Haven Rentals ™️, on its official website as a community resource! 🥹👏🏾

From working inside those gates to providing affordable opportunities for people coming home through them… this is a full-circle moment I’ll never forget. All praises to him man!! 🥹🙏🏾.

I received an email from an aftercare specialist who found us through that directory and reached out to learn more about our program and find placement for an individual being released this Nov 1st! She also spoke on how we could collaborate to help people who need housing. She’s all the way in Miami you guys!

MY business. MY name. A mission I’ve poured my heart, time, money, and prayers into. Now being found by professionals looking for resources for the very people I wanted to help. 😭💚

Building Safe Haven Rentals has taken faith, persistence, difficult decisions, and showing up when nobody was clapping. Today, I’m taking a moment to celebrate how far we’ve come.

So you guysssssss guess what?? I got, or I should say my business Safe Haven Rentals, got our very first letter from someone in federal prison! But it’s def not what you’re thinking. 🤧😎✉️

He’s getting out this year and wrote to ask about housing. Before he even walks out, he’s looking for somewhere to start again.

There was a time when showing up for people meant putting on a uniform. Today, it looks like building my shared living programs as opportunities, making connections, and helping my program members reach milestones of their own. 🏡🔑

I built Safe Haven Rentals to make room for people who are too often turned away. Receiving that letter reminded me why this work matters.

And yes, I’m proud of what I’m building. 💪🏾🤎🫂👏🏾
