We’re at Curry Up Pizza in Yorba Linda, literally across the street from my office, and I finally had to try it. Definitely out of my normal go-to, but a fun fusion I never would’ve thought of.

Yorba Linda just approved 62 new townhomes. That’s a big deal. 🏡

Right now it’s mostly trees and some planters, but the city approved 62 brand-new for-sale townhomes after months of hearings, community feedback, and even an appeal. Yorba Linda is known for single-family homes, larger lots, and lower-density neighborhoods, so this doesn’t happen often.

What we know so far:

📐 Roughly 1,300 to 1,600 sq ft
📍 Next to a park

Would you live in a neighborhood that feels like a little resort?

This is East Lake Village in Yorba Linda, a community built around a 15-acre man-made lake. Some homes even have private docks, so you can fish and take electric boats out on the water. 🎣⛵

On top of that: pools, tennis courts, a gym, a clubhouse, and walking paths all around the community. The homes have a ton of variety too, from townhomes and traditional single-family homes to larger properties right on the water.

What I like most is that you’re not just paying an HOA. You’re getting amenities that actually change how you use your neighborhood.

Yorba Linda staple… Barista’s Kitchen !!!

On the menu today was …
🥓 Pork Belly Bowl: crispy pork belly (my favorite meat) over brown rice with arugula, pickled red onion, egg, and avocado
🌯 Bulgogi Burrito: house-marinated beef bulgogi, cheddar, bell pepper, onion, and scrambled eggs, with tater tots on the side
🍗 Seoul Bird Sando: sweet & spicy fried chicken with horseradish slaw and dill pickle chips (yes, I deconstructed it, no, I’m not sorry)
🧇 Croissant Waffle with Fruits: whipped cream, seasonal fruit, powdered sugar

I’m still on no sugar, so it was an iced Americano for me (sad), but my friend’s tiramisu latte smelled unreal. ☕

Usually when the For Sale sign comes down, there’s a SOLD story behind it.

This time, there isn’t.

After nearly two months on the market, we took a step back, looked at where the market was, reevaluated my sellers’ options, and decided that continuing to sell was no longer the best move for them.

So we pivoted.

We’re taking the home off the market and turning it into a rental instead.

And I think this is a part of real estate that doesn’t get talked about enough.

My job isn’t just to sell a house. It’s to advise my clients and help them make the best real estate decision for their situation—even when that means changing the original plan.

Sometimes that means adjusting the price. Sometimes it means negotiating differently. Sometimes it means waiting. And sometimes it means recognizing that right now may not be the right time to sell.

For my sellers, the goal of selling hasn’t changed—the timing has.

A successful outcome doesn’t always have to happen on the original timeline. Sometimes good strategy means knowing when to pivot, protecting your client’s best interests, and revisiting the plan when the timing makes more sense. 🤍
