HONEST QUESTION, NO WRONG ANSWERS: WOULD YOU PAY SLIGHTLY MORE RENT TO HAVE MAINTENANCE FULLY HANDLED? 💭

Scenario: two identical units. One costs a bit less each month, but when the furnace dies you're the one calling contractors, comparing quotes, and standing in a cold hallway. The other costs slightly more, and when something breaks you make one call and it's handled, usually that day or the next.

Some people will take the cheaper unit every time and handle their own problems. Some people will pay for the peace of mind and never look back. Both are completely valid, and honestly we've managed people who'd fight you for either position.

WHEN THE CLOCKS FALL BACK, THE BATTERIES SHOULD LAND IN THE DETECTORS. ⏰

Daylight saving ends Sunday, November 1, and it's the built-in reminder most people skip. Before you go to bed Saturday night:

🚨 Press the test button on every smoke alarm in the unit.
🔋 Replace batteries in any smoke or CO alarm that chirps or hasn't been changed in a year.
🗓️ Check the date on the back: smoke alarms generally need full replacement around 10 years, and CO alarms follow the manufacturer's date.
🪜 Don't skip basements, stairwells, and bedrooms: those are the spots people miss.

Renting with us? If an alarm keeps chirping even after fresh batteries, or a detector is missing from the unit, send a maintenance request. Detectors are something we always want to know about.
