Welcome to DAY 70, and we’ve got a special guest joining us today… the real star of the show, my wife!
She’s really been the one behind all the design choices and little details that are starting to make this house feel like a home.
And she picked a pretty good day to join because…
OUR CABINETS ARE OFFICIALLY INSTALLED!
I think one of the coolest parts of building a home together has been seeing all the decisions we made months ago finally come to life.
From spending hours at the design center picking out colors, cabinets, and finishes to now actually standing in the kitchen we designed together.
And I’ll be the first to admit, she’s got a much better eye for this stuff than I do.
It’s pretty special knowing this is where we’ll get to spend time together, host friends and family, and make memories for years to come.
As far as the build goes, we’re actually ahead of schedule!
Our Day 90 goal was cabinets, and we just knocked that out 20 days early.
Brick should be wrapping up this week, and countertops are going in!
The countdown:
✅ Day 1: Foundation
✅ Day 14: Fully Framed
✅ Day 20: Roof + Windows + Siding
✅ Day 30: Third-Party Inspection
✅ Day 45: Drywall
✅ Day 70: Cabinets Installed
⬜ Day 90: Cabinets (Completed Early!)
⬜ Day 110: Flooring + Final Touches
⬜ Day 120: MOVE IN???
50 days to go.
We’re getting closer, but there’s still plenty of work left to do.
Can we keep this momentum going and actually move into our new home in 120 days?
Or are we going to have to re-sign our lease? 🤯
