I might get a lot of trouble, and I really don’t care. It’s time for me to speak my mind.
A lot of stuff has come up about the world of real estate and lawsuits are happening. People think they overpayed for their properties and they probably did.
Who is going after the appraisers in that case, but I digress.
Thank God, we’re not the food industry. Because between listeria, Cyclospora, or E. coli, you don’t see as much of that in the form of lawsuit.
The simple fact is this, a house is worth what a buyers willing to pay for it. As a realtor, I was very quick to tell people that as much as they love the house it probably wasn’t the best time to buy. Most realtors that I know, that have any bit of ethics in them said the same thing.
That being said there are a lot of realtors out there who don’t have the ethics that I do because of that we find ourselves in the position we are right now.
In every industry since the Dawn of time, including real estate, there are always bad apples. That doesn’t mean every apple is bad, unfortunately it does make us look bad.
Most of us just want to take care of you and have your best interest in mind. But yes, some bad things happen as does in every industry.
Please don’t give up on us. Every day, the majority of us are trying to do better and do great things for you. Just know I will never sell you the E. coli house.
