📉 Rates: 6.86% now (6.67% last month, 6.35% a year ago)
💡 Putting just 3% down on a 3-bedroom can mean about $13K to get started, versus $85K at 20%.

Curious who’s buying homes in California this year? 🏡

The latest C.A.R. survey paints a pretty clear picture:

Median buyer age is 45, with a household of 2
Median household income is $156,500
67% are repeat buyers and 33% are first-timers
Millennials lead at 49%, followed by Gen X at 28%

What stood out most to me is what buyers say they value in an agent. Help negotiating the price and terms came in first at 27%, and having the process explained (contingencies, disclosures and so on) was right behind at 26%.
