Fresno Mission Fresno Mission Everything the Fresno Mission does prepares men, women and children to move forward in a positive way.

We do not believe in perpetuating homelessness and addiction, and we believe that it takes more than shelter to help people move forward. We never give anyone anything they can get for themselves, but rather steer them in the right direction towards God-centered self-sustainability.

Community is built in spaces where people can come as they are, pull up a chair, share a meal, and feel like they belong. ❤️

There’s something meaningful about seeing a room filled with people from different walks of life, each carrying their own experiences, yet finding connection under one roof.

It’s the conversations happening around the tables, the familiar faces returning, the laughter shared between strangers, and the simple comfort of having somewhere to spend time without feeling rushed or overlooked.
Spaces like this matter because everyone deserves more than just access to basic necessities. People deserve dignity, connection, and opportunities to be part of something bigger than themselves.

This is what community looks like in everyday life. Not just people gathered in one place, but a space where relationships grow, barriers come down, and everyone has a seat at the table. 💛

More than just a line for a warm meal. ❤️

It’s a reminder of what community looks like when people come together. Different faces, different stories, and different walks of life, all gathered in one space where everyone deserves to feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
For some, it’s a meal. For others, it’s a moment of connection, a familiar face, or simply a place where they can walk through the doors and know they belong.

These moments remind us that kindness doesn’t always have to be something grand. Sometimes, it’s found in a warm plate of food, a genuine conversation, or people willing to show up and serve one another.
Because building community is about more than meeting immediate needs. It’s about creating spaces where dignity, compassion, and belonging are part of the everyday experience. 💛

❤️ Every story matters. Every life is worth investing in.

We asked Desirie, “What is the biggest thing you took away from the program?” And her answer is one you won’t want to miss. 🥹

This is Part 2 of Desirie’s testimony, and we couldn’t be more proud of how far she’s come and the growth she’s experienced along the way!

When you give to Fresno Mission, you’re doing more than making a donation. You’re investing in people like Desirie and helping create opportunities for lives to be transformed. 💙

This is why we do what we do. This is the impact of your generosity.

From broken to rebuilt. ❤️

After a year and a half apart from her five children, Desirie found hope, healing, and a fresh start at Fresno Mission. Just 30 days after entering the program, she was reunited with her kids. Today, she’s a program graduate, a working mom, and giving back to families walking a similar path.
Her story is a powerful reminder of what faith, perseverance, and community support can make possible. ❤️

He’s been there. Before Keith became Program Coordinator at our Searcy Center, he was a Fresno Mission graduate himself. Today, he’s often the first person men meet when they walk through our doors to begin recovery.

His favorite part of the job? Watching the transformation. “I see individuals grow in their faith, rebuild relationships, overcome addiction, develop confidence, and begin to recognize their own value and potential,” Keith says.

Thank you, Keith, for walking alongside every man at the very start of his journey, and for showing what this program can do. 💙

Real conversations. Real faith. Lasting impact. 💙

Our young adults recently attended the Built for This Young Adults Conference hosted by The Well Community Church, where they explored faith, identity, healthy relationships, and what it means to find their worth in Christ.

For the young adults we serve, moments like these are about more than attending a conference. They’re opportunities to grow in confidence, discover authentic belonging, and build a stronger foundation for the future.

A huge thank you to The Well for creating a welcoming space for meaningful conversations (and for the delicious tri-tip lunch!).
And to our supporters, your generosity makes experiences like this possible. Together, we’re helping young adults discover who they are, recognize their worth, and build lives filled with purpose.

💙 Help a young adult discover what they were built for.

💙 We’re Hiring an LCM! 💙
Are you organized, compassionate, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We’re looking for someone special to join our team!
As an LCM, you’ll be the air traffic controller of care, helping coordinate the holistic health needs of our Enhanced Care Management (ECM) members and connecting them with the resources and support they need to thrive. 🏡✨
We believe every person’s story is unique, which is why we take a person-centered approach to care, meeting individuals where they are and walking alongside them on their journey toward stability and wellness.
We’re looking for someone with experience in case management or care coordination, an understanding of healthcare systems, strong organizational skills, and a heart for serving vulnerable populations in our community.
🤝 If you love connecting with people from all walks of life and want to make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you!

After 15 years and 10 months as a case manager at Fresno Mission, Robert Alanis is officially retiring… sort of.

“When you’re in ministry, you really don’t retire. Doors have already opened for me to counsel, teach and minister. So I feel like I’ve got at least another ten years or more.”

Robert has walked alongside countless men and women as they faced their past, worked through trauma, and found new life in Christ. Now he’s heading to Southern California to be closer to his kids and grandkids, and to keep doing what he does best.

Robert, thank you for your faithfulness and your heart for people. We can’t wait to see what God does through you next. Drop a comment to wish Robert well in his next chapter!

From years of uncertainty and separation to a home filled with love, hope, and new beginnings. ❤️

Shawn and Karina’s story is a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when families are given the support and opportunity to rebuild. Today, they’re not only together under one roof, but they’re also giving back to the community that helped them along the way.

This is what transformation looks like. This is the heart of Fresno Mission. 🏡❤️
