Cooler mornings. Earlier sunsets. Windows cracked open just enough. And a loft that suddenly feels like the coziest place in Downtown Frederick.

Kemp Hall’s distinctive loft-style apartments pair open layouts, high ceilings and historic character with the modern finishes you want at home.

Create a reading nook upstairs. Set up your work-from-home corner. Make it your creative space, movie-night retreat or quiet place to recharge.

October in Frederick understood the assignment. 🍂

Frederick’s 25th Oktoberfest returns October 2–3 with German food, music, festivities, and plenty of reasons to say Prost! 🥨🍻

And one of our favorite things about calling Frederick home? There’s almost always something happening somewhere nearby.

Whether your perfect fall weekend involves Oktoberfest, a stroll downtown, local shops, a great dinner, or simply watching the leaves change along Carroll Creek, October is a pretty good time to be here.

There are eighteen apartments in this building and no two of them are the same.

That isn't a marketing line. It's just what happens when you put homes inside a beautiful historic building that was built to last.

Eighteen neighbors. Not three hundred.

We're fully leased at the moment. Units do come open, and the waitlist gets first look. Link in bio.

There's a historical marker on the front of this building. Most people walk right past it.

Here's the short version: in 1861, the Maryland General Assembly met here. The courthouse down the street wasn't big enough, so the legislature moved into Kemp Hall — and for one summer, Frederick was effectively the capital of Maryland.

The building went up for the German Reformed Church. It's been a lot of things since. Today, it's 18 apartments and 2 shops.

You can rent a brand-new apartment in plenty of places. There's exactly one building in Frederick where the state legislature used to sit — and you get to live in it.

Your bathroom, but make it a mini escape.

A clean, calming bathroom can turn even the busiest day into something softer — a hot shower after work, a slow skincare routine, fresh towels, a candle, and a few quiet minutes to yourself.

At Kemp Hall, modern apartment finishes help create that fresh, retreat-like feel right at home — no hotel reservation required.

Historic Downtown Frederick outside. Your own little reset space inside.
