Heard a golden nugget from a savvy business owner:

People think being a business owner means you can rule with an iron fist and dont have to answer to anyone.

WRONG

Business owners have many bosses:
- employees
- customers
- venders
- lenders
- the list goes on

Great leaders need to first be servants. Work with people you really want to serve.

A few weeks ago I walked a warehouse with a buyer group I'd never worked with before.

Before we shook hands, they told me they'd already found me online, read my market reports, and looked into my background and social media pages. The decision to take the meeting and work with me was made before I ever showed up.

This is the new marketplace that we live in. Your online brand has legitimate weight.

Heard a story of a man who met her at a conference several decades ago. He asked her: "What is one piece of advice you would give to me?"

Her response: "The most important conversation of your life is this one"

She wasn't saying that talking to her was the most important conversation he would ever have, but that he should treat EVERY conversation with EVERYONE as the most important conversation he will ever have.

Be fully present.
Listen intently.
Focus on the other person.
Solve their pain.
Serve.
Give.
Love.
