Day 2 of celebrating 10 years in real estate!

MY FIRST TWO TEACHERS · MOM AND DAD ❤️

Today is about two of the most important people in my life.

My mom and dad. Tracy and Steve

My mom taught me how to love people.

My dad taught me how to work.

And I can’t think of two better lessons.

My parents have been self employed since 1989, so I grew up watching firsthand what it takes to run a business. The long hours, sacrifices, stress, and everything in between.

My dad is the hardest working person I’ve ever known. We can stay up until 1AM working on race cars, just like we’ve done my entire life and even did this past week, and he’ll still be up and out the door before the sun comes up.

That man doesn’t have an off switch 😂

One of my favorite memories was when I decided to go ALL IN on real estate, at the end of 2020.

I was leaving the security of working for American Airlines to become completely self employed.

At the time, I didn’t have anything, so I really wasn’t risking much. But man, it sure felt like I was 😂

I’ll never forget telling my mom.

She started crying.

She knew this was what I was supposed to do, but she also knew exactly what it would take.

She begged me not to give up the guaranteed paychecks, insurance, retirement, and everything else that came with having a steady job.

If you know me, then you know this just confirmed this was exactly what I was about to do 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Looking back, I understand those tears a whole lot more today than I did back then.

She knew the sacrifices ahead of me because she and Dad had lived them for decades.

Mom and Dad, I love y’all so much.

Thank you for teaching me how to love people, work hard, and have the courage to chase something bigger.

So much of who I am today is because of the two of you.

And I’m forever grateful God chose y’all to be my parents ❤️

10 YEARS!!! 🤯

On November 1st, I’ll officially celebrate 10 years in real estate!

Over the next 10 days, I want to share some of the people and stories that have made this journey so special.

And there’s only one person I can start with.

Berek McEwen

Back in 2013, I was 17 years old working at Team Texas High Performance Driving School. Berek constantly told me I needed to get into real estate.

My response? “Bro, I’m 17. I’m not even old enough!” 😂

Once that excuse was gone, it became, “I don’t even know what real estate is!”

At the time, I thought I was going to be a full time race car driver. Unfortunately, that dream didn’t pan out, and I found myself back home trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.

So after nearly 3 years of Berek telling me to get into real estate, I finally called him.

I asked, “Why do you keep telling me I should do this?”

I’ll never forget his answer.

“Because you love people. You have a servant heart. You genuinely enjoy helping others. That’s what makes a great Realtor.”

Talk about seeing a diamond in the rough.

In July 2016, I attended a Keller Williams career night. By October, I had my real estate license, and on November 1st, I joined GO Network Keller Williams Dallas Metro North in Flower Mound.

10 years later, I’m still here, and Berek is now the team leader of that very office!

But what’s been even cooler than watching his professional success has been watching him grow into the incredible husband, father, and leader he is today.

Berek, I love you so much, brother. I’m incredibly proud of the man you are and the way you lead your family and the people around you.

I don’t know where I’d be today without you believing in that young kid who had no idea what he wanted to do.

Thank you for seeing something in me long before I could see it in myself.

God knew exactly what He was doing when He put you in my life!

We just kicked off the renovation of our 8th flip property! While flipping houses isn’t always fun & games, sometimes it’s messy and full of surprises, it’s always rewarding to see a vision come to life.
