🏡 A Buyer’s Market Doesn’t Mean “Buy Anything.” It Means You May Have More Leverage‼️

If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the housing market to give buyers a little breathing room, this is the kind of market you’ve been waiting to explore.

In a buyer’s market, there are generally more homes available relative to buyer demand. That can shift some negotiating power toward the buyer.

What could that mean when you’re house shopping?

🏷️ Price improvements — Homes that have been sitting longer may have already reduced their asking price.

💰 Seller concessions — Depending on the property and offer, a seller may agree to contribute toward allowable closing costs or other expenses.

📉 Interest-rate buydowns — Some sellers or builders may offer funds that can be used to reduce your mortgage rate, subject to lender guidelines.

🔨 More room to negotiate — Inspections, repairs, closing dates and other contract terms may be more negotiable than they are in a highly competitive seller’s market.

🏠 More choices — Increased inventory can give you an opportunity to compare homes instead of feeling pressured to grab the first one available.

But here’s what I want buyers to understand:

A buyer’s market doesn’t automatically make every home a good deal.

Price, condition, location, financing and your long-term goals still matter. My job is to help you evaluate the entire opportunity—not just the list price.
