I’ve called the Shoals home for over a decade now, and the longer I’m here, the more I appreciate what makes this place so special.

The people who show up for each other. The small businesses that give our neighborhoods their personality. (Looking at you 7-points - we just had an incredible series of events last week, and there’s so many reasons to support and shop 7 points!!)

The old houses with stories to tell. The familiar faces you run into everywhere you go. There’s a lot to love about life in North Alabama.

In case you’re new here, I’m Sami Lamb, a local Realtor, and Broker at Fernhill Realty. I spend my days helping people buy and sell homes throughout Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, and the surrounding communities. I also get to work alongside some pretty incredible people who care just as much about this place as I do.

One of my favorite things about real estate is that it gives me a front-row seat to our community. I get to see neighborhoods change, families put down roots, old spaces find new purpose, and people take chances on making something their own.

And I think that comes with a responsibility to do more than just sell houses.

so busy sweating waiting on fall to come that I forgot to post my hootenanny recap. I love Seven Points and our community! Grateful to Southern Native for continuing to put this on year after year and bringing people together for good music, food, and hangs.

Gracie had a snowcone & did lots of silly dancing.

Seeing everyone supporting and visiting all the incredible spots at 7 points makes me so excited for the future. If you guys missed Hootenanny … well you missed out, and i hope to see you next year!

August in the Shoals, you were a good one.

Long summer evenings, time on the water, good food, familiar faces, and all the little things that make this place feel like home.

I’m always a little sad to see summer wind down, but football season, porches that are actually bearable to sit on, downtown Florence in the fall, and hopefully some cooler temperatures soon. Like… right now, please?!

Here’s to September, and one of my favorite seasons in the Shoals. I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one.
