Thinking about moving to Long Valley, NJ? There are a few things you should know before making the move. 🏡
And they’re not necessarily the things you’ll find in a typical relocation guide.
🚗 You’ll spend a fair amount of time in your car. Long Valley is pretty spread out, and where you choose to live can make a big difference in your daily commute. Living down in the valley near Route 206 and I-78 is a different experience than living up on Schooley’s Mountain with access to I-80.
💧 Well water and septic systems are common. If you’re coming from an area with public water and sewer, there are a few things you’ll want to understand before buying.
🦌 Wildlife is part of everyday life. Deer are everywhere, and an occasional bear sighting isn’t unusual. It’s part of living in a town surrounded by woods and open space!
None of these things are necessarily negatives. In fact, they’re part of what makes Long Valley special.
As someone who has lived in Long Valley for over 20 years, I’d much rather help you understand these things before you buy than have you discover them after moving in.
