What if “home” is more than the place where we live?

I spend a lot of time thinking about what makes a house feel like home—the spaces we create, the people we welcome, the things we surround ourselves with and the memories made there.

But lately I’ve been thinking about another kind of home.

Our bodies are the homes we carry with us everywhere.

They carry us through work and family, morning runs and long walks, celebrations and difficult seasons, adventures and ordinary days.

For me, taking care of my body isn’t about perfection or trying to turn back time. It’s about healthy aging, staying strong, nourishing myself well, getting enough rest and continuing to move through the world with curiosity and gratitude.

And I think being at home in ourselves includes more than physical fitness.

It’s how we nourish our bodies.
How we move and build strength.
How we rest and restore.
How we care for our minds and spirits.
Even how we dress, style ourselves and express something on the outside about who we are within.

Body. Mind. Spirit. A home worth caring for.

I want to keep running. Keep exploring. Keep learning. Keep showing up for the people I love. And hopefully keep discovering what this body can carry me toward next.

Maybe that’s another meaning of home:

Learning to live well within the life we’ve been given.
