October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, and at Commonwealth Landing, we think every loft is better with a four-legged roommate.

As a pet-friendly community, we're proud to be part of Cordeiro Properties, whose charitable foundation supports local animal welfare. Through its grant program, Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation Inc. has helped Forever Paws Animal Shelter and Faxon Animal Care & Adoption Center here in Fall River provide care for animals waiting to find their forever homes.

The Fall River Farmers and Artisans Market runs Sundays from 11 am to 3 pm on Purchase Street. It's a short trip from your front door for produce, baked goods, vintage finds, and whatever the local makers have brought that week. There's usually live music, too.

September is great season for it. Apples, squash, late tomatoes, the works. Bring a tote and make an afternoon of it.

Every apartment at Commonwealth Landing has laundry in the unit, which sounds like a small thing until you've spent a few years without it. Throw a load in before work. Fold on your own schedule. Wash the towels at 10 pm if that's when you get to it.

It's the amenity nobody puts on their list and everybody misses.
