🚨 AIRBNB AND VRBO are destroying the vacation rental industry! 🌴
Airbnb and Vrbo are changing the vacation rental industry, and unfortunately, it’s not always benefiting the guests, owners, OR the local property management companies! The only one winning are the platforms.
💰 Here’s something I wish more vacationers knew…
1️⃣ GET TO KNOW YOUR LOCAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANIES!
If you vacation in the same destination year after year, find a reputable LOCAL vacation rental company! You’ll often receive more personalized service, local expertise, and the opportunity to save money by booking directly.
2️⃣ STOP PAYING UNNECESSARY PLATFORM FEES!
If you’ve stayed in the SAME vacation rental before and loved it, why are you booking it through Airbnb or Vrbo again?! You’re potentially paying hundreds of dollars in additional fees when you could be booking that exact same property DIRECTLY!
3️⃣ WORRIED ABOUT FRAUD? HERE’S A TIP! 🔍
I completely understand being cautious about booking outside of Airbnb or Vrbo.
Here’s what you can do:
✅ Find the property you love on Airbnb or Vrbo.
✅ Scroll down to the HOST or property manager information.
✅ Google the company name and find their official website.
✅ Verify that it’s a legitimate business, confirm the property is listed, and compare the total price before booking directly!
Booking directly doesn’t mean sacrificing professionalism, security, or service. It means building a relationship with the people who actually manage your vacation!
