Whether you’ve already found a photographer you love or have a caterer in mind, having that flexibility can make wedding planning a little easier.

Fall is such a magical time at the Ranch, with beautiful colors, peaceful scenery, and plenty of picture-perfect places to make memories.

Ask any bride what she'd change about her wedding.

Almost every one says the same thing.

More time.

At The Shamrock Ranch, we built our entire model around that answer.

Your wedding party arrives Thursday. The cabin is waiting — four bedrooms, a basement sleeping area, five queen beds, and room for up to ten of your closest people. Friday, you walk through your rehearsal in the actual space. Then you hang your lights, arrange your florals, and make it feel like yours — because we're a DIY-friendly venue and our staff has already handled the setup. No rush. No one hovering.

Saturday, your vendors arrive and everything is ready. Sunday morning, you have coffee on the property and say goodbye when you're actually ready to.

In September, our youngest son got married here. The ceremony stayed outside — right between the showers — exactly as his bride had always imagined. When the cocktail hour arrived and the rain returned, guests moved into the Quonset Barn without missing a beat.

And me? I got to just be Mom.

For years, I’ve told couples that a full wedding weekend feels different.

A few weeks ago, I finally got to experience it for myself — not as the owner of The Shamrock Ranch, but as the Mother of the Groom.

Our youngest son got married here, and for once, I wasn’t running the venue. I wasn’t checking tables, worrying about the bar, or making sure every detail was handled.

Our team did that.

I got to be Mom.

I got to watch my son get married, spend time with our family, enjoy the reception, and stay in the moment instead of watching the clock.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something: everything we’ve been telling couples about the value of having an entire wedding weekend is true. I know that now because I lived it.

I wrote about the experience — what surprised me, what it meant to our family, and why I’ll never talk about The Shamrock Ranch quite the same way again.

One wedding. One weekend. Time to make it yours.

From April through October, The Shamrock Ranch hosts just one wedding per weekend. Couples with a weekend package have private access to the property Thursday through Sunday, giving you time to set up, celebrate and enjoy the weekend without another wedding happening alongside yours.
