URGENT HELP NEEDED IN CARBONDALE THIS MORNING

I know it's early on a Saturday morning, and I know this is a big ask, but we desperately need someone experienced with senior dogs who is comfortable handling a potentially serious medical situation.

Peanut is one of our senior dogs in our Forever Foster Program, living with Nancy, a Meals on Wheels Community Services of NEPA participant in Carbondale. Unfortunately, Peanut is currently unable to get up or walk.

We need someone who can go to Nancy's home, safely get Peanut into a carrier, and transport him either directly to Steamtown Veterinary Center or back to our sanctuary in Tunkhannock, where we can assess him and arrange emergency veterinary care.

I'm currently in New Jersey until tomorrow, and my husband is holding down the fort at the sanctuary.

I realize this is a lot to ask of someone on a Saturday morning, especially given the circumstances. We're hoping someone with senior dog experience and a compassionate heart can help us look after both Peanut and Nancy.

If you can assist, please text me at 973-727-9135.

Thank you for always being there when our seniors need us most.

Benito A61876948—

This year old young man is very energetic. Even so, he will put your whole arm in his mouth like he's tasting a burrito. 👄 🌯

He likes small human companions per his former parent — but unsure if it's for a snack 🥨 or as a friend.

He's is inexperienced with other species, but his lifelong goals is to be a barista at the local Starbucks and collect all the toys from the McDonald's happy meals.

He used to work at Home Depot as a color expert but they realized he was colorblind. 🫟 He then tried his luck at Chucky E. Cheese— let's just say, they did not appreciate lifting his leg in the ball pit. 🙊

Lately, he is a part time treat inspector. 🔍
He's a full time nap enthusiast undergoing sleep studies because every squirrel 🐿️ is a personal challenge.

If interested in Benito — you can call our adoption office— or submit an application online.

Calling all vendors for Christmas in Dushore!

We’re looking forward to filling Dushore with local makers, small businesses, and holiday cheer on Saturday, December 12, from 10 AM–4 PM!

Vendor spaces will be available at St. Basil’s Hall and Pealer Hall. Please mark your preferred location on the attached form. Spaces are first come, first served, and I’ll let you know if your preferred location fills up.

The vendor fee is $20. Dushore Area Business Association members can participate at no charge, but still need to return a completed form. Vendors provide their own table and chairs; electricity is available for an additional $25.

To sign up, complete the attached form and mail it with your payment to the address listed on the form. We aren’t able to accept electronic payments.

Questions? Give me a call at 570-928-7320 or 570-423-0442. I can’t wait to see everyone at Christmas in Dushore!
