This Summer is almost totally booked; the norm this time of year. However, we have availability for Fall and Winter this year and Spring next year. Also, Summer '26 will be booked long before it gets here. Now is the time to book for next Summer...

My book, "Pocket Guide to Vacation Rental Profitability" is being prepared for release on Amazon. If you think you might ever own a vacation rental, this guide is a must! Though the title is intended to appeal to owner's financial motivations, this guide counterintuitively tells owners to forget the money, focus entirely on guests, and excel at making guest's visits exceptional. An exceptional stay experience gives guests a reason to come back again and to write 5-Star Reviews; a focus on money won't deliver either. The "Pocket Guide to Vacation Rental Profitability" sets the standard for vacation rental guest experience and enjoyable hosting; profitablility is a peripheral benefit!

The weather has cooled but that means fewer people on the river and more peaceful kayaking! Now is the time to lock in Summer dates, though. When Summer arrives, there won't be any availability! Not many left for '24, but '25 still has openings... Pet Free Chimera: www.vrbo.com/730878 / Pet Friendly Meraki: www.vrbo.com/1482265

Much appreciation to the hundreds of guests who have "Liked" our page. Having said that, Facebook no longer shows "Likes". Don't know why "Like" is even still an option.
If you have visited Chimera or Meraki, we would appreciate you taking a few minutes to post a Review. Reviews help prospective guests make their decisions. We have over 200 5-Star Reviews on Vrbo, but only a few on Facebook. Much appreciation, Hal & Sandy

The financially excruciating vacation rental shutdown is behind us and we are open. As is normally the case this time of year, June and July are completely booked. August and September have substantial bookings, but there are still some openings - no open weekends at either house until late October. As always, check Calendars on Vrbo but contact us directly to avoid the Vrbo Service Fee on bookings. Pet Free Chimera: www.vrbo.com/730878; Pet Friendly Meraki: www.vrbo.com/1482265.
