We're at the Iowa Rural Water Association's Riverview Conference at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, Iowa! Stop by the Origin Design booth and visit with Marc Ruden, PE, and our team to talk about the challenges and opportunities facing rural water systems across Iowa. We'd love to hear about your community's needs, answer your questions, and discuss how we can help support your next project. See you there!

This year, our Employee Relations Committee hosted monthly potlucks where employees could learn more about local nonprofits serving the Dubuque area. Together, we supported Tri-State Women Warriors, Centrally Rooted, Fountain Of Youth Program, and The Red Basket Project of Dubuque.

Thanks to the generosity of our team, we raised $1,600 to support these incredible organizations and the important work they do in our community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make a positive impact!

Big things are happening in Guttenberg!

Origin's Land Survey team is proud to be part of this $40 million restoration project, providing land surveying services that support construction efforts to restore disappearing islands and enhance critical wildlife habitat. It's rewarding to contribute to a project that will have a lasting impact on the river, the environment, and the communities it serves.

Take a look at the story and keep an eye out... you might even spot a few members of our team in the video.

A $40 million project is restoring vanishing islands and backwaters in the Mississippi River, protecting habitats from erosion.

What makes Origin Design special? The people.

Last Thursday, we brought together nearly our entire team for our 8th Annual Employee Owner Meeting. From learning about industry trends and ESOP ownership to hearing from guest speaker Kristin Bock of Body Language Blueprints, the day was filled with great conversations, valuable insights, and a little friendly competition.

More than anything, it was a chance to connect with coworkers, share ideas, and celebrate the employee-owners who make Origin Design a success.

The doors are open! After months of planning, coordinating, designing, and construction, the new A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. Facility in Bristol, TN, is complete. From the exterior details to the finished production spaces inside, every part of the facility was designed to support the work happening within its walls.

We're excited to share a look at the finished project and proud to have been part of yet another incredible journey for A.Y. McDonald.

A great day at the Iowa Trails & Bike Summit! Two members of the Origin Design team attended the summit last week, connecting with professionals from across Iowa who are passionate about trails, biking, and building stronger communities. We love opportunities to learn, share ideas, and support projects that help people stay connected to the places they live, work, and play.

We’re proud to be 100% employee-owned at Origin Design. Employee ownership is at the heart of who we are, and throughout October we’ll be celebrating the people who make our success possible. Stay tuned!
