🇺🇸 **WEDNESDAY REMINDER: YOU DON'T HAVE TO CARRY IT ALL ALONE.**

To the veteran who always says, “I'm good.”

To the one who checks on everyone else but rarely checks in with themselves.

To the one who's still figuring out who they are beyond the uniform.

**This is your reminder that you matter, too.** đź’™

You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to be strong every single day. And you don't have to wait until things feel overwhelming to reach out for support.

Take a breath. Give yourself some grace. Call a battle buddy. Spend time with your family. Or simply take a moment to rest without feeling guilty about it.

You spent time looking out for others. Don't forget to look out for yourself.

And if nobody has told you lately, we're glad you're here. ❤️

🇺🇸 **DID YOU KNOW? VR&E MAY HELP PAY FOR EQUIPMENT YOU NEED TO WORK!**

💻🧰 Did you know the VA’s **Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program, also known as Chapter 31,** may provide eligible veterans with necessary equipment, tools, and supplies to help them complete training or pursue suitable employment?

Depending on your approved rehabilitation plan and individual needs, this could include:

🎓 **School & Training Supplies:** Required books, supplies, and equipment needed for your approved program.

🧰 **Tools for Your Career:** Necessary tools and supplies for certain vocational programs, apprenticeships, or employment.

đź’» **Adaptive Technology:** Specialized keyboards, speech-recognition software, or other equipment that helps veterans overcome disability-related barriers.

♿ **Accessibility Equipment:** Certain modifications or equipment that help eligible veterans participate in training, perform job duties, or live more independently.

**Here's the important part:** Equipment isn't automatically approved for every veteran. Your VR&E counselor must determine that the items are necessary and approve them under your rehabilitation plan. **Always ask your counselor before purchasing equipment** you hope to have covered.

📌 **What should you do?** If you're using VR&E for college, trade school, an apprenticeship, or employment services, ask your counselor what equipment and supplies may be covered for your specific career goal.

🇺🇸 VETERANS VIEW RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT: GIVE AN HOUR

Sometimes, the hardest part of getting help is knowing where to start. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. ❤️

This week, Veterans View is spotlighting. Give an Hour, a nonprofit organization that connects people in the military community with mental health support and resources.

đź’™ How Give an Hour Can Help:
- 🧠 Mental Health Support: Access mental health services through participating providers and available programs.
- 🤝 Support for Veterans & Military Families: Resources designed to help address the emotional challenges that can come with military service.
- đź’¬ Breaking the Stigma: Promoting conversations about mental health and making it easier to reach out for help.

Whether you're navigating the transition to civilian life, dealing with the weight of past experiences, or supporting a loved one who served, taking care of your mental health matters.

You don't have to wait until you're struggling to reach out. Asking for help is a sign of strength.

Sometimes the hardest part of leaving the military is feeling like you don’t quite fit in anymore.
You go from being surrounded by people who understood your language, your humor, your stress, and your experiences…
To being in rooms where you feel like you have to explain everything.
You may catch yourself staying quiet in conversations.
Avoiding certain topics.
Feeling disconnected even when you’re surrounded by people.
It’s not because civilians are bad people.
And it’s not because veterans are broken.
It’s because military service changes the way you see the world. The pace, the responsibility, the bond with others, and the experiences you carry are hard to fully translate.
A lot of veterans quietly miss the feeling of being understood without having to explain themselves.
If you’ve ever felt out of place after service, you’re not alone. That feeling is more common than many people realize.
