Spent a couple hours at a Membership Meeting of our local MLS/Board of Realtors Association today. Our speaker today informed us that there will be an updated way for Appraisers to form an opinion of your property when a buyer puts it under contract.
It sounds like appraisers and lenders can choose to opt in starting November 1 and take until May 2027 to do so. The time frame to evaluate and write a report will take longer and cost more money.
When Buyer Agents ask their clients to check with their lenders and their attorneys to determine what those entities will need for "Due Diligence" periods, this is one of the determining factors.
Never stop learning :-)
