As a client, you have to share personal information and let others know your desires. Which is why Fiduciary Responsibility is so important during this process.

Fiduciary Responsibility: A legal and ethical duty an agent and their brokerage owes to the client they are representing. Meaning as a client, your representation should always be going above and beyond, respecting your privacy, and handling your transactions with attention.

And if you find yourself not receiving that attention and care, it may be time to find new representation.
