Hello, November.

We're looking forward to the upcoming holidays, while appreciating the slower, cozy rythym of late Fall.

Here’s to enjoying the quiet moments before the holiday season is fully underway.

There’s something about Halloween that makes home feel especially cozy.

Pumpkins by the door, a fire going inside, something warm on the stove, and just enough chill in the air to make staying in feel like the perfect plan.

However you’re celebrating, we hope your Halloween is filled with good treats, great company, and a little bit of magic.

Happy Halloween from all of us at Beaver Mountain Custom Homes!

One fireplace, two ways to enjoy it.

A double-sided fireplace can create a beautiful connection between indoor and outdoor living, with one side warming the living room and the other opening to a covered porch.

Inside, it becomes a natural gathering point. Outside, it extends the season and makes the porch feel inviting even on cooler evenings.

It is a simple design choice that can completely change how both spaces are used.

The Tumbleweed was designed by the homeowner (who is also an architect), who came to Beaver Mountain with a floorplan designed to fit the property, separate private bedroom spaces from the main living areas, and create a home that could welcome family and friends with ease.

Landscaping is about more than finishing the space around a home. It can help the home feel like it truly belongs on the property.

When we're designing your home, we listen to your vision for the entire property - not just the home. Incorporating stonework, grading, walkways, and outdoor gathering areas can soften the transition between the architecture and the land, highlight views, and make the property feel more complete.

Beaver Mountain designs, crafts and builds one-of-a-kind custom homes through a personalized process that makes the journey clear, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding.

This lakefront home in upstate New York is really taking shape.

Natural log posts create a striking porte cochere at the entrance, while inside, a dramatic wall of windows is being designed to make the lake view part of everyday life.

We can’t wait to watch this one continue to come together.

This lakefront Adirondack home proves that thoughtful design matters more than square footage. With the right layout, carefully placed windows, and spaces designed around the way you actually live, a smaller footprint can still feel open, comfortable, and connected to the landscape.

For many of our clients, that is exactly the goal: less space to maintain, more time to enjoy the mountains, the view, and the people they came to spend time with.
