Beautiful grounds and only 4 blocks away!

Have you discovered this unique hidden gem in Dayton, Ohio? 👀🌿

📍 The Grotto Gardens, located on the Dayton VA Medical Center campus, are open to the public 24/7!

🏛️ The gardens were once a significant attraction of the Dayton Soldiers’ Home, known as the “Mother Home” by veterans returning from the American Civil War. The area was also once the site of a limestone quarry, adding another fascinating layer to its history.

🌳 Today, the Grotto Gardens offer a peaceful place to slow down, take a stroll and enjoy a little bit of nature and history.
