✅ Open your property tax bill and make sure your homestead exemption is listed. Taxes are due by Jan. 31; penalties start Feb. 1.
✅ 65+ or disabled? Ask your county tax office about quarter payments.
⏰ Clocks fall back Sun., Nov. 1. Test your smoke & CO detectors while you’re at it.
🔥 Swap your HVAC filter before the heat kicks on, and book a furnace check.
💧 Cut back sprinkler run times, but keep the soil around your foundation evenly moist.
🌬️ After Friday’s gusty front, walk the yard for loose fence boards and hanging limbs.
🧊 Grab faucet covers and pipe insulation now. DFW’s average first freeze is around Nov. 22!
