$443 MILLION on the Dallas ballot. 👀

Dallas voters are being asked to decide on Proposition A, a public safety bond that would fund police training facilities, 911 operations, emergency facilities, a crime lab, and more.

The estimated repayment with interest? Approximately $630 million.

⚠️ Dallas County also has a separate Proposition A, so make sure you know which one you're voting on.

Landlords will spend weeks arguing over a repair bill but won't think twice about losing a month of rent. 👀

After managing close to 1,000 rental units, there's one thing I learned:

Vacancy can cost you a LOT more than the repair you're trying to avoid.

Think about it...

An empty property means:
🏠 No rental income coming in
💡 Utilities you're still paying
🌱 Yard maintenance
🧹 Turnover cleaning
💰 Potentially more expenses before the next tenant moves in

Sometimes keeping a good tenant happy and taking care of a reasonable repair is a much better financial decision than dealing with another vacancy.

Being a landlord isn't just about collecting rent. It's about understanding where you're actually losing money.
