Halloween weekend is here, and there’s plenty happening around Pickwick! We’ve got live music, costume parties, festivals, family fun, a little Renaissance flair, and even a symphony concert. Whether you’re staying close to the lake or heading toward Corinth, Savannah, or the Shoals, here are some ideas for your weekend!

🎸 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30

Freddy T’s | Counce, TN: Mitch Mann performs from 6–10 p.m.

Singin’ River Brewing | Florence, AL: Bottomland with special guest Brody Gravitt. Music is advertised for 8 p.m.; tickets approximately $15 plus fees.

Swampers Bar & Grille | Florence, AL: Bailey White from 5–7 p.m., followed by Matt Prater from 8–11 p.m.

Rattlesnake Saloon | Tuscumbia, AL: The Mississippi Band performs from 6–10 p.m. A great option if you’ve never experienced this unusual venue tucked beneath a massive rock overhang!

FloBama | Florence, AL: Jiminem performs from 6:30–9:30 p.m., followed by DJ entertainment and karaoke.

🎃 SATURDAY, OCTOBER 31 — HALLOWEEN!

Savannah Treat Street | Savannah, TN: Bring the kids downtown for trick-or-treating from 5–8 p.m. at Tennessee Street Park, with festivities extending onto College Street.

Corinth Comic Con | Corinth, MS: Crossroads Arena hosts a full day of cosplay, gaming, vendors, special guests, and live wrestling from 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Advance admission approximately $20 plus fees.

Iuka Pilot Club Trunk-or-Treat | Iuka, MS: Halloween fun on Front Street from 6–8 p.m.

Día de los Mu***os Celebration | Florence, AL: A FREE celebration at Southall House, 209 E. Tuscaloosa Street, from 1–4 p.m. Enjoy art, music, and family-friendly activities exploring the traditions of Day of the Dead.

Howl-O-Ween Dash | Florence, AL: A 5K and one-mile fun run at McFarland Park beginning at 8:30 a.m., benefiting the Lauderdale and Colbert County animal shelters. There’s even a pet costume contest!

🎶 SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE MUSIC & PARTIES

Freddy T’s | Counce, TN: A full Halloween lineup! Nick Bentley performs 6–10 p.m., Sean Austin plays the rooftop 7–11 p.m., RT Rinehart takes Club 50 from 9 p.m.–1 a.m., and DJ Hunter Jackson keeps the Beach Club going from 9 p.m.–2 a.m. There’s also a Halloween costume contest with cash prizes, including $1,000 for best overall. The Beach Club party is 21+.

Swampers | Florence, AL: Mark “Muleman” Massey performs from 8–11 p.m.

Rattlesnake Saloon | Tuscumbia, AL: Don’t Fret It takes the stage beginning at 6 p.m.

FloBama | Florence, AL: Deja Vu performs from 6:30–9:30 p.m., followed by Austin Bohannon at 10 p.m.

🎼 SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 1

Shoals Symphony — Maestro’s Mixtape | Florence, AL: Enjoy an afternoon of music at Norton Auditorium on the University of North Alabama campus beginning at 3 p.m. The concert introduces Maestro Lolley through a program of favorite musical selections and special guests.

❤️ OUR WEEKEND PICKS: For family fun, Savannah’s Treat Street and Corinth Comic Con offer two very different Halloween experiences. For a night out, Freddy T’s has plenty happening right here at Pickwick, while Florence and Tuscumbia offer several live-music choices. And for something different, Sunday’s symphony performance sounds like a wonderful way to finish the weekend.

October 23–25 | Three Days, Plenty of Reasons to Get Out!

🐴 TREAT TRAIL AT SHELTERING TREE RANCH | SAVANNAH, TN

This sounds like a wonderful evening for families!

Start with decorated trunks and treats, visit some very well-dressed horses in the barn, follow a trail filled with goodies, and finish with a hayride through the woods.

No haunted surprises—just a fun evening at the ranch.

Plan to arrive close to 6 PM. Check with the ranch for any last-minute changes.

🚤 AUTUMN SUNSET PONTOON CRUISE | PICKWICK LANDING

5–6 PM | $20 per person

Enjoy an hour on Pickwick Lake as the sun goes down.

The cruise departs from the courtesy dock behind The Lodge at Pickwick Landing State Park.

Advance registration is required, and registration closes three hours before departure. Check with the park for remaining availability.

🎸 CARVER’S CREEPY CRAWLY HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL | FLORENCE, AL

Looking for live music with a Halloween twist?

This three-day festival runs October 22–24 at Shoals Community Theatre.

Twenty musical acts, four stages, and plenty of Halloween atmosphere.

It’s a ticketed event, so check the festival’s schedule and ticket information before heading over.

🏃 KINGDOM RUN 5K | BURNSVILLE, MS

8:30 AM start

Here’s a chance to get some exercise while supporting a worthwhile local cause.

The 10th Annual Kingdom Run benefits the Bridge House, a transitional home helping women rebuild their lives following rehabilitation.

📍 38 Gross Avenue, downtown Burnsville

Check-in begins at 6:30 AM. Race-day registration is listed at $30 and closes at 7:30 AM.

Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering somebody on, it’s a good reason to get out early.

🏰 40TH ANNUAL ALABAMA RENAISSANCE FAIRE | FLORENCE, AL

Saturday 10 AM–6 PM | Sunday Noon–6 PM

FREE ADMISSION AND FREE PARKING!

This is one of the biggest events happening in northwest Alabama this weekend.

Downtown Florence’s Wilson Park transforms into a Renaissance village with costumed characters, artisans, entertainment, games, and plenty of interesting things to eat.

More than 80 artisans are expected for this year’s 40th-anniversary celebration.

Costumes are welcome, but absolutely not required.

If you’ve never been, this might be the weekend to go!

🦅 RAPTOR FEEDING | PICKWICK LANDING STATE PARK

1–2 PM | FREE

Meet some of the park’s resident birds of prey and learn about their wild relatives during feeding time.

Meet at the park aviaries, beginning near the hawk enclosure.

A fun educational opportunity for families.

👻 SCARYBOOK TRAIL | PICKWICK DAM

7–9 PM | FREE

Pickwick Landing State Park’s fifth annual Scarybook Trail brings a little Halloween mystery to the outdoors.

Families can board wagon shuttles for a Halloween story trail featuring candy, spooky animal mysteries, and seasonal fun.

📍 Marina Road, Pickwick Dam

Registration is available through Tennessee State Parks.

Check the park’s instructions before arriving, since this event does not begin at the main lodge.

🌞 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25

🏰 ALABAMA RENAISSANCE FAIRE CONTINUES!

Noon–6 PM | FREE

Missed Saturday? You’ve still got Sunday to explore the artisans, performances, costumes, and festivities in downtown Florence.
