Put yourself in a buyers perspective. You pull up for the inspection and meet with your inspector. He pulls out his fancy little drone and performs his roof inspection. Everything looks great from 100 feet in the air. No issues, no worries.
Well here's what he just missed because he didnt get boots on the roof and inspect it properly, and you won't know until its too late to do anything about it.
At Lake Erie Home Inspection I take pride in inspecting houses the right way, the first time. I get boots on every single roof that I can access safely.
If your inspector isn't doing the same then you're wasting your money and not getting what you paid for.
I can see where a drone can come in handy at times, but that shouldn't be your primary source of inspecting roofs.
I get these types of phone calls all to often after another inspector has already performed his inspection.
Don't be the next one to have to call me to come out and tell you everything the last guy didnt.
24 years in this business doesn't happen by chance. It happens because I've been doing it right all along.
