I remember buying my first home in 2007 simply because I was tired of the apartment life.😮‍💨

I was SCARED! 😅 But I did it anyway! And haven’t looked back.

Fast forward to 2026… that same home is almost paid for!🙌🏽

What started as wanting a place of my own turned into a place to make memories, build equity, and something to leave behind when I go to sleep for the last time.🕊️

Sometimes the decisions we make for ourselves today become blessings for our children tomorrow. 💛

But then I see this, and it reminds me that the hard work, long days, and dedication are making a difference.

Everyone talks about the happy closings… but sometimes there are happy terminations too.🙏🏽

She decided NOT to buy the house… right now.

My buyer had been preapproved and looking for months. She finally found the one, her offer was accepted 🙌🏽… then the initial disclosures came in and the numbers looked different.

So we went back to her budget.

As much as she loved the house, she made the hard decision to terminate and put herself in a better financial position before purchasing.

Because buying a home isn’t just about finding a house you love. The numbers have to make sense for your life too.

I’m so proud of her for making the decision that was best for HER. 🫶🏽
