We can’t wait to see you all on Main Street, on Halloween, starting at 5 PM! 👻🎃 As a friendly reminder, Main Street between the Waterfront to Wesley Church will be closed Friday evening, October 31st for Halloween on Main Street. No traffic will be allowed on this part of Mainstreet from 5:00 pm to 9:00pm😊 we want our children safe! 🍭🍬🍫

Stop by Stick Burning BBQ Company for free hotdogs for children. Child(ren) must be present. 🌭

Black Dirt Coffee Shop & Café will be open until 8 PM and serving NC wines and ciders.

Trunk-or-treat will line the sides of Main Street - starting at the Register of Deeds and ending before the town building. Please arrive before 5 to set up - spots are first come first serve.

🚨PSA: We take no responsibility for sugar crashes or candy hangovers on November 1st. The post-Halloween chaos is a you problem 🤭

The winds are rocking and rolling ahead of our developing Nor’easter, and the Pamlico Sound looks angry. Wind gusts along the Outer Banks of 40-50MPH will be possible through Friday night at least. The NC Ferry system is doing what it does best trying to safely transport residents and visitors, here’s a look at the Ocracoke to Hatteras Ferry this morning.

Some ferry suspensions are possible at times through Saturday morning on the Outer Banks. Southern Coast Ferries will be fine.
