A pretty significant federal housing law became law this summer. Here’s the part that actually matters.

The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act goes after the housing problem from several directions: how quickly communities can add housing, how certain homes are financed, manufactured and rural housing, federal housing programs, and even who can buy large numbers of single-family homes.

There are some very real changes in it.

Small-dollar mortgages get attention. Manufactured-home financing gets an update. USDA rural housing programs change. Communities get new tools aimed at increasing housing supply. And beginning in January 2027, large institutional investors face new restrictions on many additional single-family-home purchases.

But this is the part worth keeping straight:

This does not mean home prices suddenly drop. It does not mean mortgage rates drop. And it does not mean every program in the law is available today.

A lot still has to happen. Federal agencies have rules to write. Programs have to be built. Some initiatives still need funding. States and local communities will have decisions of their own to make.

So we’re paying attention to what happens next, especially the pieces involving rural housing, financing, manufactured housing and housing supply that could matter here in Wyoming.

569 South Ferris St is officially SOLD.

Getting to the closing table on this one required a lot of communication, coordination, and problem-solving behind the scenes.

Brenton represented the seller, Heather represented the buyer, and when challenges came up throughout the transaction, they were able to work together while still advocating for and taking care of their respective clients.

That’s one of the things we’re proud to have built at RE/MAX Elevation. Our agents don’t operate in their own little corners. We have a team around us to lean on, problem-solve with, and help keep things moving when a transaction gets complicated.

The shelf space situation just got serious.
Our 2025 RE/MAX Elevation awards are officially in, and this group gave us a lot to celebrate.

Mark Wilson earned Biggest Closing of the Year, recognizing the largest closing brokerage-wide.

Curtis and Nicole Lindgren, The Lindgren Team, earned Top Team of the Year.

Curtis also received the HOG Award for completing the highest number of transactions while representing both sides.

Nicole Lindgren and Scott Knap each earned the Hustle Award for the perseverance, dedication and commitment they brought to achieving results throughout the year.
