QUESTIONS I GET AS A NORTH IOWA REALTOR® FROM BUYERS
Real questions, real answers, and a little insight into what the home-buying process actually looks like. 🏡
Do I need to be pre-approved before we start looking?
Not necessarily, but it’s a good first step. A pre-approval helps you understand your budget, strengthens your offer, and keeps your home search focused.
Can you show me a house if it’s listed by another agent?
Yes! I can show you homes listed by other agents and brokerages. My job is to help you find the right home for you, not just one I have listed.
What should I look for when touring a house?
Pay attention to the condition, location, and whether the home actually works for you and your needs. A home can look great online, but it’s important to look at the bigger picture before deciding if it’s the right fit.
What happens after my offer is accepted?
This is when we really get to work! From inspections and negotiations to appraisal, financing, title work, and closing, I’ll guide you through each step, keep you informed of important deadlines, and help coordinate with everyone involved to keep the transaction moving smoothly.
What if I’m not sure I’m ready to buy yet?
That’s okay! You don’t have to be ready to buy to reach out. Starting the conversation early can help you understand your options, your budget, and what the process could look like, without any pressure or rush. I’ll be here to answer questions, help you prepare, and when the time is right, we’ll be ready to take the next step together.
What happens if the inspection reveals a problem?
Don’t panic. The inspection gives you a chance to learn more about the home and address any concerns before moving forward. Depending on the situation, there may be options to negotiate repairs or other terms.
Have a question I didn’t answer?
Buying a home comes with a lot of questions. Send me a message and I’d be happy to help you figure out what makes sense for you. 🏡
