Most reviews come after the keys change hands, so this one caught me off guard.

Nico and I are still searching, and some weeks that means touring three places and walking away from all of them.

He mentioned that the questions get answered fast and the process never feels rushed, and honestly that’s the whole approach.

A home search through Chicago and the suburbs has a lot of moving parts, and nobody makes a good decision when they feel pushed.

Thank you, Nico, for trusting the process before it’s even finished.

I have a mild compulsion not to waste anything.

Leftovers turn into new dinners, a torn seam goes to the tailor, and my laptop has spent more time at the repair counter than I’d like to admit.

Some of it is practical.

Most of it comes from a belief that the things we own still hold value long after they stop looking new.

I get a quiet little thrill every time something I almost gave up on keeps going.

What’s the one thing you refuse to replace, no matter how worn it gets?

Clearing out an inherited home is about more than just real estate; it’s about the memories.

As a real estate agent in Chicago, Illinois, I’ve helped many families navigate this emotional transition. Before you start clearing things out, my advice is always to pause. Take time to identify important records and sentimental items, and make sure you’re coordinating decisions with the estate representative.

The sibling who did the most caregiving often expects the biggest share, and it rarely works out that way.

In this carousel I walk through how one family got from resentment to a fair agreement before the house ever hit the market.

The answer wasn’t a legal trick. It was getting the real numbers in front of everyone.

Has your family been through this, and what helped?

Multiple offers don’t have to feel like an auction.

A lot of buyers walk away the second they hear there’s competition, worried they’ll overpay just to beat someone else.

In this carousel I walk through how multiple offers actually work and the one simple approach that keeps you from getting swept up.

It’s helped my clients feel calm in situations that used to rattle them.

A buyer walked into one of my listings last month with no agent and a plan to save a few percent.

What they didn’t realize is that under the new rules, my sellers aren’t obligated to pay a buyer’s agent at all, so there was no built-in savings to hand back.

The family I was representing was selling their dad’s house after 41 years, and my job was to get them every dollar it was worth.

I knew the comps, the inspection history, and exactly how motivated each party was.

The buyer was negotiating against all of that by themselves.

Inherited a home in Chicago and not sure what’s next?

It’s a big decision, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. As your local agent, I help families weigh their options:

KEEP: Long-term ownership
RENT: Income & management
SELL: Timing, prep & proceeds

Let’s explore the right path for your family no pressure, just clear guidance.
